Saint Mary's healthcare family brings together more than 2,300 employees, 850 physicians and 300 volunteers all
committed to the vision and mission begun by the Dominican Sisters nearly a century ago. In carrying out this
vision and mission, Saint Mary's established our four core values of dignity, integrity, stewardship and
justice. By following these values, Saint Mary's is able to bring mission to reality everyday.

A Faith-Based Approach to Care
As the only faith-based healthcare organization in the region, Saint Mary's mission is unique and wholly our own. As such,
it offers us exclusive opportunities to reach out to our communities in ways others cannot and at the same time bring solemn
responsibilities to help those in need. In all of our actions and decisions, from the seemingly inconsequential to the
most far reaching, our mission and values guide us.
Mission Statement
Catholic Healthcare West and our Sponsoring Congregations are committed to furthering the healing ministry of Jesus. We dedicate our resources to:
- Delivering compassionate, high-quality, affordable health services;
- Serving and advocating for our sisters and brothers who are poor and disenfranchised; and
- Partnering with others in the community to improve the quality of life.

Reaching Out to Our Community
As part of our mission, Saint Mary's Foundation is committed to raise funds and administer gifts and donations to those that
need care, but cannot afford it. The Foundation's work has made it possible to expand the medical center's capabilities
with the addition of the Wiegand Heart Center, featuring a state-of-the-art cardiac intensive care unit and open heart surgical
suites. The Foundation also supports the Sun Valley Clinic, the Nell J. Redfield Health Center, and our Take Care-A-Van
program with three mobile outreach dental and medical vans. Through the generosity of our donors, the Foundation
underwrites unique and innovative technology to enhance and increase the quality of life and health for our community. |
