Medical Library Current Awareness Service
Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center Employees can access tables of contents from journals held in our collection as well as those held in the University of California and Stanford University collections. You may search, browse or order articles easily from the Web. Click on Account Setup to create your account - a departmental code is required.

MEDLINEplus has expanded to include an online version of Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary. Feedback from our users indicated that they wanted one place to type in a word and get a definition, not a list of dictionaries. MEDLINEplus will still link to subject specific dictionaries from health topic pages.

NOAH: New York Online Access to Health (English and Spanish)
In 1994, four New York City library organizations joined forces to establish a single website to provide end-users a place on the World Wide Web to reach reliable consumer health information. The organizations: The City University of New York Office of Library Services (CUNY); the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO); The New York Academy of Medicine Library (NYAM); and The New York Public Library (NYPL) - later joined by the Queens Borough Public Library and the Brooklyn Public Library - had as a goal the development of a website which would provide health care information easily accessible and understandable to the layperson. The result was NOAH: New York Online Access to Health.

Patient Channel Neighborhood
Patient and family healthcare education programs are available in-room on Channel 74. This site lists information about The Patient Channel, including program titles & the broadcast schedule by day and by topic. Transcripts of the programs are also available in English and Spanish.
