The chaplains of Saint Mary's Spiritual Care Services provide a caring presence to patients, visitors and staff of all faiths. They are available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., seven days a week. Chaplains are also available after hours, on an on-call basis, for emergencies or critical spiritual needs. The chaplains also assist patients in reaching community spiritual representatives.
The Spiritual Care staff is skilled in meeting the many differing needs of all hospitalized patients. At Saint Mary’s, our entire staff is committed to honoring and supporting the faith, beliefs and values of our patients, their families and caregivers. Whether it is preparing special meals required by religious tradition or simply being sensitive to the spiritual practices and beliefs of each faith tradition, it is our desire to assist our patients in tapping into the spiritual resources that can be a source of strength and energy in the healing process.
