Direct Digital Radiography (DR)
X-rays of a patient's chest, extremities, spine and abdomen are all now taken in a digital format, without traditional film. Much like a digital camera, images are acquired and are immediately available for review on a computer workstation. Exams can be completed quickly and will provide improved image quality with a lower radiation doses to the patient. Images can be printed or stored on a CD for review on a standard computer. The ability to complete procedures faster means shorter wait times for patients and faster results for referring physicians.
