Our Team

About Jonathan Tay, MD:
Jonathan Tay, MD, radiation oncologist, is the medical director of Saint Mary's cancer program and chair of the Saint Mary's cancer committee. A physician in private practice since 1998, Dr. Tay's specialties includes prostate seed implantation, high dose rate and low dose rate intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, endovascular brachytherapy, 3D conformal radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery.

Dr. Tay has also served as the medical director of the Northern Nevada Hyperbaric Center since 2001 and was the chief resident in radiation oncology in the Integrated Hospitals Program in San Francisco from 1997-98.

Dr. Tay received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Kalamazoo College in Michigan and the University of Strasbourg, France. He received his doctorate degree from Michigan State University in 1991 and completed his residency in San Francisco at Saint Mary's and the Integrated Hospitals Program in 1998.

Dr. Tay is a diplomat with the National Board of Medical Examiners and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He also holds memberships in the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American College of Radiation Oncology, American College of Radiology, American Brachytherapy Society, Nevada Oncology Society and the Washoe County Medical Society.
