Jonathan Tay, MD, Medical Director, Radiation Oncology
Dr. Tay has been medical director of Saint Mary’s Radiation Oncology Department since 2005, and he is chair of the Saint Mary's Cancer Committee. Dr. Tay is affiliated with Radiation Oncology Associates, and his specialties include prostate seed implantation, high-dose-rate and low-dose-rate intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, endovascular brachytherapy, 3-D conformal radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Tay received his medical doctorate at Michigan State University and completed residencies in internal medicine at Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA, and in radiation oncology at the Saint Mary’s and Integrated Hospitals Program in San Francisco. Board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology , Dr. Tay has been instrumental in the establishment of cancer clinical trials at Saint Mary’s and the implementation of the region’s only CyberKnife program. As medical director of Reno Cyberknife, patients are cared for by some of the region’s leading surgeons and radiation oncologists, using the most technologically advanced radiation delivery system available in the world.
 
Suresh Reddy, MD, Medical Director, Medical Oncology
Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Reddy is the medical director of medical oncology at Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer. Dr. Reddy received his medical doctorate at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and he completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at the University of Florida –Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL, where he also completed a fellowship in oncology/hematology. Dr. Reddy is affiliated with Reno Oncology Consultants and pioneers leading-edge treatment at Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer through his passion for research and oncology-related clinical trials.

 
James Harris, MD, FACS, Surgical Medical Director
Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery , Dr. James Harris is the surgical medical director at Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer. Dr. Harris received his medical doctorate from Wake Forest School of Medicine. He completed his residency and internship in general surgery at USC and completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center. Dr. Harris is affiliated with the Reno-based Western Surgical Group, and he is a member of the Washoe County Medical Society, American College of Surgeons, Society of Graduate Surgeons and the state of California and Nevada medical associations. His experiences as cancer liaison to the American College of Surgeons , as well as his expertise as a top flight surgeon, have shaped our practice standards and helped us forge a model of care built upon two simple but compelling words: patients first.


Dr. Karin Klove, Oncology Breast Program
Dr. Klove provides leadership in the field of surgical oncology and spearheads the effort to further develop Saint Mary’s Breast Center as we move to the next level of excellence in breast care. In this capacity, she collaborates with the patient’s primary-care physicians and breast specialists to assist them in providing the best comprehensive cancer care possible for their patients with breast cancer. Dr. Klove earned her medical doctorate from USC. She went on to complete her internship in general surgery and urology at the USC Medical Center, where she also completed residencies in general surgery/urology, obstetrics/gynecology and general surgery. Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery , Dr. Klove has served as associate professor of surgery at UC Davis as well as a staff surgeon with various medical groups and hospitals, including Sutter Medical Group, Greenville Hospital System and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Reno. Dr. Klove is leading Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer's efforts to achieve accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers .
